In the following, we set out the principles according to which we collect and process personal data (information that determines your identity or makes it possible for us to determine your identity; hereinafter also referred to as ‘data’) via this website and other websites and applications operated by J&L Transport (hereinafter also referred to as ‘website’) and for what purposes. We collect and process your personal data carefully, only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and only to the extent necessary and within the scope of the applicable legal provisions. We only store your personal data to the extent and for as long as is necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
Use of the website and cookies
You can visit the website and find out about our offers without disclosing any personal data. We only request personal data where this is necessary for the provision of our own services and for the processing of transactions that you carry out with J&L Transport.
We use web analysis services to analyse the use of the website in general and to obtain indications for the improvement of our offer. The web analysis services use cookies to collect data. Retention of customer data
For accounting reasons, J&L Transport generally retains the personal data collected from customers for the purpose of processing transport and other services for 10 years after the last processing operation. We retain other data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the contract and to protect our rights. Longer statutory and operational retention obligations/reasons are reserved. Personal data collected for marketing measures is generally deleted as soon as the purpose of the measure has been fulfilled.
Data security
We protect your personal data using suitable technical and organisational security measures and store it exclusively on secure servers. The website is protected against loss, destruction and manipulation as well as against access, modification or distribution by unauthorised persons by means of state-of-the-art measures.
Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion and transferability of your data. You also have the right to restrict processing. See paragraph ‘Storage of customer data’ and other legal exceptions. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. An objection only applies to the future and does not affect previous processing. If J&L Transport can no longer provide the services contractually agreed with you due to the objection, the objection shall be deemed a breach of contract and J&L Transport shall have the right to terminate the contract with you without notice. The customer’s contractual payment obligations remain in force.
